[Open to Ryoka.] Time is Tissue! [Open log.]
Characters: Haruno Sakura, Hatake Kakashi, Uzumaki Naruto, Nara Shikamaru, and any ryoka that happens to pass by, perhapsly.
Rating: PG/PG-13.
Setting: Dew Drop Inn, First District.
Summary: Sakura is starving and wants to eat, and somehow that's relevant to the current situation.

There came a point when Sakura had come to the conclusion that she'd been too vague about the description of the Inn. For all she knew, there was a whole line of these, and each one of them had red paper lights. Of course, having been curled up on her tiny bed for a total of only seven minutes, it was possible that she was just jumping to conclusions on that one.

She clutched at her stomach and buried her face in her pillow. What wasn't an outrageous assumption, but rather an awkward observation, was the feeling that would stir up in her belly from time to time. What she felt ghosted over all thoughts of hunger and overwhelmed her with a brief touch of anxiety, only for it to die down in a given moment. The anxiety had only turned to excitement, as she was curious as to what it was. It had such a different feeling from chakra.

At any rate, what was really important was the situation at hand. She curled up into an even tighter ball at the thought, as she feared that it was her own team's mission that brought this on. The intense seriousness of the Hokage's voice was enough to put her in doubt, and it was all just too convenient. Naruto... It was a good thing she'd found him.

Upon clearing his throat, Kakashi raised a hand and delivered a sharp rap to the door with the backs of his knuckles. He had followed her directions to the aptly-named Dew Drop Inn and, with only the slightest bit of difficulty, gone looking for her room.

His keen eyes scanned the pages of a familiar text, in an attempt to ignore his miserable surroundings. The building was nice, to be sure, but he found the heat nigh unbearable.

Still, he gave no signs of discomforture-- only wiped his face of all expression, finding a look of apathy far preferable to one of a sullen disposition.

Naruto had been experiencing, from what he thought were, hunger pains. He had eaten whatever he could find that was edible. Nothing could satisfy his hunger. He needed a real meal, not just pieces of candy; but it would do. For now, anyway.

He was ecstatic to find out that Sakura was safe. Kakashi too. He had set off to find this inn as soon as she told him.

It took a while before he actually found the correct inn. Naruto almost shivered with anticipation as he entered the building and started to look for Sakura’s room. With a wide grin, Naruto gave one hard knock at the door when he finally found it.

At the sound of someone at her door, Sakura was more than pleased to have heard it. There wasn't much space in between jumping from her bed and opening the door, and as she suspected, it was the jounin that'd entered her sorry excuse for quarters, first.

She had no words, but an appreciative and relieved smile. With a side-step and a gesture with the hand, she shut the door behind him and leaned back against it with a sigh. Sakura didn't feel all that lonely, anymore. In fact, she felt quite the opposite, and the more she thought about it, the more she came to a realization that this was exactly what she'd been feeling, before. A hand went to her stomach as she stood there, absentmindedly, not paying too much mind to her teacher until she realized that she probably appeared pretty ridiculous at the moment.

It's nothing, she told herself with the smallest curve gracing her lips. I'm just excited, that's all.

"Ah," she began, and found herself at a loss for words. "... Um, hey. I'm sorry this isn't exactly the most comfortable place, but it was all I could afford." While painful for the victim, she was lucky to have found someone in need of medical attention on her way through traveling the districts. She hated to ask for money in return, but they at least seemed willing, and... well, she needed it. "Anyhow, just make yourself at home."

She realized that home was a far-fetched feeling at this rate.

"Naruto and Shikamaru should be here at any minute, so be expecting them. Do you want any water? I was fortunate enough to end up with a gallon jug, here."

She moved to get him a cup, regardless of his answer, only to be interrupted by the knocking at the door. It was one knock, so she was convinced for a moment that someone had randomly walked by and tapped, but that same feeling only confused her yet again. The gallon jug and the cup then stood alone on the wooden table while she went to open it.

Naruto's presence confirmed it. "Uh, hi," she could only utter for a moment. How ridiculous. She cleared her throat and grinned. "I'm glad you could make it!"

"Dew Drop Inn." Shikamaru looked up at the building in front of him, ignoring the small noises his stomach was making. The Inn wasn't very hard to find. Just asking a couple of questions here and there, Shikamaru was able to find it very quickly. But as usual, he took his time getting there. After all, there wasn't much of a hurry.

Walking inside, Shikamaru stopped at the front desk to ask where Sakura might be situated. Thanking the man, he trudged upstairs giving periodic sighs every once in a while. If it was his choice, he'd rather be in Konoha with paperwork than being stuck in this strange place called Soul Society.

Shikamaru raised an eyebrow at the door that was ajar, but from hearing the voices from the inside, it seemed that the people inside probably were only Naruto, Kakashi-sensei, and Sakura. Pushing open the door wider, he walked inside, giving a wave. "Is this everyone?"

Naruto waved back as Shikamaru let himself in. "Hi Shikamaru! Uh, I think. Unless Sakura-chan invited more people..."

He gave a thoughtful look to Sakura, waiting for her reply.

Sakura shut the door behind Shikamaru and nodded her head. "Yeah, this would be it."

This had certainly turned out well. One moment she was waiting and worrying, the next three guys had filed into her room about a minute apart. Although she was beginning to wonder what the other guests of the inn were thinking of her, but it wasn't too big of a deal.

Well, now that the other three were here, she could jump right on the subject at any time. She sighed and moved to the table to fill the small wooden cups with water. She allowed generous doses, as she assumed they wouldn't be here for too long of a time.

"I'm glad you all made it! I wish I could've gotten a hold of some others, but I suppose this will just have to do."
